Two "interesting", and never before seen or heard, things happened in our house today.
1) Jack and I came home from work...and, to our shock...one of our village issued garbage cans was missing! Not left in the street...not stolen by a neighbor...not brushed aside by the wind...oh, NO! To see us looking aimlessly (and maybe spying in our neighbors' driveways) had to be hysterical! Jack asked, "who do we even call about something like this?" We were too embarrassed to call the police to complain (thank goodness). As it turns out, our can was "repo-ed" by the garbage company for an outstanding bill! We'll get it back when we pay up! Lovely!!!!
2) Lily wanted to know how she got into my belly when she was just a little baby! She did not want to know how she got there, but specifically which way did she get in!!! After stifling my disbelief, horror, hysterics and all that other good stuff...I answered with God! Of course.

Where does Lily come up with these questions? Great answer though...I might have to use it in the coming years :)
Sometimes life goes spinning out of control, but usually settles back to the norm we are used to. Lily has a very healthy curiosity, your answer was right on!

Maddie asked me just last week how she got OUT of my tummy when she was a baby. I too stuttered and said, "It hurt for a little bit, and then you just came on out." (Wishing it were that easy!)
Kennedy asks that question all the time and I also told her the same thing. She still wants to know why she got a brother instead of a sister and once again, same answer! As for getting out of my tummy, she thinks that all babies are cut out by a doctor and will ask my fellow mom friends to see their scar!!! Aren't they sooo funny!
