For a Little While...

Hmmmmmmm....title....title...?

Uncle Brenden Visits....sounds like a book title

"Leavin' on a jet plane..."...now I've got a song stuck in my head

For a little while...yes, another song title (for those of you who listen to...eeek...country)...but it works!

Uncle Brenden was "home" for a little while--a week and a half to be exact. Since none of us have seen him since last summer, we made every minute count. When your brother (in law) and children's uncle is gone for 8 months at a time, great amounts of quality bonding time must occur. And, occur they did.

Unfortunately it was quite the tease for Lily. She got just enough time to realize how fun this Uncle B guy is, and now he is on a plane back to Brussels. Just today she said "I miss Uncle Brenden" after I asked if she had fun hanging out with him.

By the looks on these faces (Brenden (and Peter Pan) included), one can tell that everyone had fun. This picture is one for the ages. It would be a fun one to pull out of your wallet, Uncle B, when you have your first official drink in a bar with your nieces 19 years from now.

Papa and his boys...big and small.

Uncle B got to celebrate being an uncle by...none other than...getting them wound up just before bed time.

And, most importantly, he got to meet his 4 and 1/2 month old nephew, Jack.

We miss you already...

What a pleasure to have Uncle B home for just a little while. It looks like he enjoyed being Uncle if only for a little while. I'm sure everyone enjoyed his visit.

It looks like Brenden had a good time during his visit. We were lucky enough to see him briefly at Uncle Ken & Aunt Sue's. I'm sure the kids can't wait to see him again.

My personal thanks to Uncle Brenden! If it wasn't for you, NONE of us would be enjoying this great blog, all the stories and the fun pictures. Looks like a good time was had by all. Aunt Mar

Oh....how sweet! Is it just me or does Brenden look JUST like Ken nowadays? :) Miss you all!

Great pics Michelle. I can say that I look forward to coming home in the summer more now that I have been able to get a glimpse of all the kids' personalities. I will definitely miss all those great smiles, but I don't mind a little break from the meltdowns that a two year old can have.

Oh my.. Is it not great how these uncles from over-seas can fly in and mix everything up! They don't understand the calm before bedtime!!It's always crazyness and they don't get why we stand in the corner frowning. But it happens so in frequently that you just have to go with the flow! Fun times! Sorry I missed you Brenden!
