Mama's Little Helper

I'm still coming to terms with the fact that my entire house will not all be clean (really, truly clean) at the same time...at least not until I'm done raising my children! Lucky for me, I have a little helper. Unfortunately, my little helper makes the biggest messes of all. Lily decided it was her new chore to feed the dog. As you can see from the picture, Norm not only got a very hefty portion, but Mom got a big mess in return. ( Yes, she does have her life vest on...another quirky request on her part...she is always good for a laugh.) She did get quite a bit inside the bowl, though. I have to give her credit for that. When she was all finished pouring...and putting the dog food canister back in the cabinet...she proceeded to say "mess?" as if wondering "how the heck did that happen?" So, she did try to clean it up, along with some help from the dog and her mother. This was a sigh, laugh, and Kodak moment all at the same time. You may be wondering why we don't have child locks on all of our cabinets...that surely would have prevented this mess. Nah...that would make life too easy!
